Google launches AI-powered business hub in Gemini for small entrepreneurs
On Tuesday, 20th, Google announced a new business hub within its Gemini AI application, designed for micro-entrepreneurs, freelancers, and small businesses. The package combines marketing, visual identity, and financial analysis tools, and will be rolled out gradually to users worldwide. The solution integrates with Google Business Profile, Google Ads, Google Workspace, and partner apps like Canva and Wix, enabling entrepreneurs to manage everything from a single dashboard.
New Gemini features
- Unified dashboard: A business homepage that centralizes brand building, financial analysis, and customer behavior insights, seamlessly connected to Google tools and external apps.
- Smart Brand Identity: By uploading a website, logo, brand manual, fonts, or color palette once, Gemini memorizes the visual identity. Using the Nano Banana 2.1 model, it generates images, ads, and videos that consistently align with brand guidelines.
- Simplified Financial Management: The app automates the creation of reports and interactive financial dashboards from photos of receipts, spreadsheets, or invoices, providing a consolidated view of cash flow and business financial health.
Regina Chamma, Google’s Director of Customer Solutions in Brazil, explains that the goal is to make technology accessible to people juggling multiple roles. “AI helps businesses that may never have had access to so many resources, face working capital challenges, or struggle to hire professionals from different areas. It gives small entrepreneurs access to knowledge much faster,” she says.
From personal use to business routine
A Google survey reveals that 82% of Brazilians already use some form of AI tool. Of these, 71% apply AI to personal tasks, while 41% use it for professional activities. Regina notes that although personal use still dominates, workplace adoption is already significant. A study by Google Cloud and IDC shows that 77% of small and medium-sized enterprises in Latin America had defined AI plans for 2026, up from 34% in 2025. Additionally, 48% already have AI agent projects underway. In Brazil, the use of Google Cloud’s AI tools by SMEs grew ninefold in 2026 compared to the previous year.
Digital presence before the campaign
For those with limited budgets, Regina recommends starting with a basic online presence. Keeping information up to date on Google Business Profile—such as services offered, opening hours, payment methods, and whether the business accepts Pix or credit cards—is essential. “Small entrepreneurs need to understand that they must own their digital content. Not just social media, but the content that matters for consumers to visit their establishment,” she emphasizes. She divides the strategy into three pillars: presence, productivity, and performance.
How to turn AI into results
In advertising, the Performance Max tool uses AI to distribute campaigns across Google channels like Search, YouTube, Gmail, and Maps, based on the advertiser’s goals. Regina notes that Google made over 90 improvements to its advertising products last year, keeping pace with the evolution of searches, which now include more detailed descriptions. “The journey is no longer linear. It spans different platforms, social networks, and other interactions. We use AI to capture this demand wherever it exists and deliver results for entrepreneurs,” she says.
Infrastructure and training challenges
AI adoption still faces structural barriers. The Google Cloud and IDC study highlights that inadequate IT infrastructure is the primary obstacle for SMEs in Latin America, followed by poorly optimized data architecture and the technical and financial complexity of updating legacy systems. Additionally, 33% of companies in the region struggle to establish control or security rules for technology use. For Regina, expanding tool availability must be accompanied by training. “The key is how we quickly educate these small and medium-sized companies so they understand AI and know how to use it effectively in their daily lives. Without this training, we cannot take this step,” she says.
