Internal Salesforce survey reveals optimism about AI and productivity gains

Survey results

A Salesforce internal survey, called Great Insights, conducted in November 2025 with around 80% of the company’s 76,000 employees, found that 81% of staff believe artificial intelligence boosts workplace productivity. Additionally, 83% of respondents said they felt prepared to manage risks associated with the technology, such as bias, and the AI readiness index reached 85%, an 18 percentage point increase from the previous year.

Impact on workload

Opinions on workload are more divided. While 62% of employees reported a more manageable workload, some said the intensity of tasks had increased. Professor Jason Schloetzer of Georgetown University notes that AI can enable people to take on more responsibilities without necessarily reducing time pressure.

Tools used by the company

Salesforce has implemented several AI-based solutions. A Slack feature helps locate old project templates, and Career Connect assesses employees’ strengths and weaknesses to support career development. The company also uses AI agents, such as Agentforce in Slack, which automates responses to support requests. According to the company, this tool saved over 500,000 hours of work in one year.

Additional research

A global Slack study, the Workforce Index, surveyed 5,000 office workers and found that 60% already use AI in some form. Those who use the technology daily report higher productivity and satisfaction compared to non-users. In Brazil, LinkedIn’s Worker Confidence Index found that 81% of professionals believe AI tools make them more efficient.

How to develop AI fluency

Salesforce published the AI Fluency Playbook, a guide that structures team preparation around three pillars: engagement, activation, and specialization. AI fluency involves understanding how the tool works, creating clear instructions (known as prompts), and reviewing the output before use. For example, a marketing analyst can use AI to summarize reports and create presentation drafts, but should verify numbers and adjust the tone for the audience. An HR professional can use the technology to organize resumes, while keeping the final decision in human hands.

Notes on data interpretation

The figures presented reflect employees’ own perceptions, not a direct measurement of productivity. Additionally, the survey refers to a single organization that also sells AI solutions, which may influence how the results are interpreted.
