New Integrations and Capabilities for Small Business Owners

Meta announced on Tuesday that it is expanding its AI assistant Muse to small businesses, adding connections to Shopify, Dropbox, Slack and a dozen other platforms. By embedding Muse into the tools owners already use for sales, operations and marketing, Meta aims to create a context‑aware assistant that can guide owners in running their business and finding new customers.

The agent can also tap into Instagram professional account analytics, Facebook pages and Meta ad accounts, and it is trained to understand what a business sells, the tone of its brand and the most common customer queries.

Additional integrations include Asana, Box, Canva, Figma, Granola, HighLevel, Intuit QuickBooks, Klaviyo, Lovable, Notion, Stripe and Zoom.

Pricing and Availability

Muse for Small Business is offered at no cost with usage limits, while businesses seeking higher volumes can subscribe to a paid plan.

“Small businesses have been growing on our apps for nearly two decades,” Meta wrote in their blog post. “They told us they’re short on hours, not ideas. So we built Muse for Small Business to help get work done with the tools they already use.”

Strategic Context and Enterprise Push

The launch comes a day after Meta unveiled the Meta Enterprise Platform, a new initiative designed to extend the company’s AI portfolio to businesses and corporate customers. The move is part of Meta’s broader effort to shift AI tools from consumer use cases into the enterprise market, where it hopes to recoup the substantial investment it has poured into AI development.

Meta is betting that an AI agent with visibility into a company’s entire operation will prove more valuable than a standalone chatbot, a premise that underpins its competition with rivals such as OpenAI and Google.

Muse, which debuted earlier this month, climbed to the top of app rankings in the United States and Canada, outpacing ChatGPT and underscoring the momentum behind the platform.

Leadership and Future Roadmap

To steer the enterprise initiative, Meta has brought on Chirantan “CJ” Desai, the CEO of database software leader MongoDB, to lead the new effort.

The company plans to bring its full technology stack—including Muse, Meta Business Agent, Muse API, Muse Code and additional tools—to businesses and developers, positioning the platform as a comprehensive solution for corporate AI needs.

Conclusion

By weaving Muse into the existing workflows of small businesses and backing it with a suite of integrations, Meta is positioning the agent as a versatile assistant that can handle everything from customer outreach to operational insights. The free tier lowers the barrier to entry, while the subscription model offers scale for growing companies. As Meta pushes deeper into the enterprise arena, Muse’s early success in app charts suggests that the strategy may be gaining traction.
